I posted something about this in the forum, but once you get this big, it deserves a front page post.
While I wallow helplessly near .500, my cousin has conquered the steep odds and made the Streak for the Cash leaderboard. Go to the Streak for the Cash page and check it out for yourself. There, in all his glory, is Shamrock4lyfe with 16 straight wins. Judging by the picture above, C.C. Sabathia was ecstatic when he heard the news.
Now, I'm sure my cousin has some monumental achievements in his life. I remember a story about his team making the baseball state title game in high school, and I'm sure Shamrock has done some other cool stuff.
But honestly, I don't know how you top this.
By my estimation, if he can get four or five more wins, Shamrock should be in the running to go to Bristol for the Streak for the Cash duel to the death.
Here are the official rules, but I'll summarize them: If you qualify, it's an automatic $10,000 prize, plus round-trip airfare and a lovely stay in Bristol, Conn. The seven qualifiers then have a 'pick-off' over a four day period, and the one with the longest streak in that time span wins $1 million.
He's taking the Celtics tonight. All I can say is, good call. When your streak is on the line, putting your fortunes in the hands of Eddie House is the only way to go.
