Can I be a GM, too?

OK, I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for the T-Wolves to announce the trade they've decided to go with. You know, since nobody in their right mind would draft two point guards with back-to-back lottery picks.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured there would be a plan, since Kevin McHale no longer had a say with this franchise. Maybe Ricky Rubio for David Lee, or Flynn for a future No. 1.

Something. Anything. And now, I'm just so very confused.

Could it really have lined up any more perfectly for them?

No. 5: Ricky Rubio

No. 6: Stephen Curry.

What am I missing here? You take a distributor with great size for a point guard. You take a scorer who fits perfectly around Al Jefferson, Kevin Love and Rubio. Curry's a bit underzised, but he's still three inches taller than Jonny Flynn.

Then, you let the stew simmer and have the core of a good team ready to bloom in two or three seasons.

But I guess that would be too easy. Instead, they'll return next year without Mike Miller or Randy Foye, with Bassy Telfair as the starting point guard, Jonny Flynn as the backup and Ricky Rubio either chilling in Spain for two years or forcing a trade that will net Minny 60 cents on the dollar.

The NBA: Where choosing crappy GMs happens.
